Two strapping, handsome men in search of a foster child get more than they bargained for when their orderly gay life is disrupted by two troubled brothers, the boys' street-wise mother, and a take-no-prisoners social worker trying to make it all work. Hey, no one ever said having kids was easy. Writer-producer-director Max Mitchell's adaptation of his award-winning play serves up a complex family dramedy comprised of equal parts Disney and Greg Araki. GET YOUR STUFF masterfully weaves its characters' lives together to deliver a powerful message about what makes a family work. Peppered with tongue-in-cheek cameos by Jim J. Bullock (TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT and THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE), comedienne Lisa Ann Walter, and David Faustino (MARRIED WITH CHILDREN).
