THE NIGHT LARRY KRAMER KISSED ME

What began as an award-winning one-man stage show, written and performed by David Drake, has been transformed into an electrifying cinematic experience by director Tim Kirkman, whose credits include the Emmy-nominated documentary DEAR JESSE. KRAMER takes us through one gay man's personal odyssey, a journey that evocatively captures the spirit of our times, beginning with the Stonewall riots. The title, taken from one of nine interconnected monologues, refers to a metaphorical kiss that the author received from seeing Larry Kramer's consciousness-raising play, THE NORMAL HEART, during the AIDS crisis of the early 1980s. Kirkman's intelligent direction has facilitated a seamless transition from stage to film. He succeeds in maintaining the show's theatrical quality while imbuing the performance with a uniquely cinematic power.

Plus short: LOST CAUSE. A man with AIDS waits…and waits…and waits…for his local health-service organization to answer the phone in this fast-paced dark comedy.
