THE CREATORS: TWISTED SISTERS

Bullitt Cabaret at A Contemporary Theater (700 Union Street)

The Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival in association with TheFilmCommission present the Northwest premiere of Khahtee-Varianne Turner's NUMB.

THE CREATORS: TWISTED SISTERS is a special event staged in conjunction with the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival. Moderated by Pam Carter, TWISTED SISTERS will examine the roles and goals of lesbian filmmakers in the grand scheme of The Industry. Can personal issues bear universal themes? Need demographics determine plotlines? Must one sell-out to, successfully, cross-over? Additionally, the audience will be encouraged to consider what they expect from Lesbian cinema, in particular, and movies, in general. How do we learn from others' experiences? Can we adopt lessons from lifestyles which don't necessarily mirror our own?

Pam Carter is a founding member of TheFilmCommission. She has crafted development, ditribution and marketing plans for the likes of Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, CBS, NBC and ABC. In short, she knows what she's talking about. Ms. Carter will be joined by Sandy Cioffi (CROCODILE TEARS), Khahtee-Varianne Turner (NUMB) and Jennifer Bean (UW Film Studies Program).

Admission for this special event is $7.50. Cash (only) will be accepted at the door. Take heed, RESERVATIONS are sincerely requested. TheFilmCommission's last two events have "sold out." Reservations may be made by responding to: tfc@thefilmcommission.com. If applicable, please include the names of additional guests, so that they may enter/attend without you. Note that resevervations will be held ONLY UNTIL 7:15PM. Afterwards, we will begin seating those on our Waiting List.
