We are excited to present local filmmaker Laura Jean Cronin's (JOHN GILL, BLOCK PARTY) first feature script, PRINCESS AND BUDDHA.
Billy Fields has recently kicked a self-destructive drug habit, when she meets the strikingly beautiful Victoria Neve, a professor at the local state university. Despite their differences, the pair find a comforting mutual ground in their love for one another. Billy shows Victoria a world of passion and personal freedom, while Victoria re-inspires Billy's dream to become a writer. Soon, however, the pressures from Billy's substance abuse past and Victoria's anxiety about her career threaten their relationship. Billy spirals into the abyss of drugs and crime while Victoria falls into the comfort of a safe but passionless relationship with an admiring colleague, Dori. When Billy and Victoria reconnect six years later, Victoria must choose between the security of her career and a life with her true love.
