| A taut and engaging drama, FIXING FRANK transcends the moral dilemma at its core: Is it truly unethical or ultimately kind to help a gay person who is miserable and wanting to change? The story introduces us to Frank, a gay writer, as he is spurred by his lover to write an exposé about reparative therapy. Frank goes undercover to such a therapist (Dan Butler, in a riveting performance) but is surprised when his own prejudices are challenged. He is out of his depth, confused, and torn between his loyalties to gay rights as his lover sees them, and objectivity towards his subject. Soon, his lover begins to fear that he may be losing Frank to the sinister influence of the doctor. As strongly held beliefs are challenged, the characters are propelled into unexpected revelations and actions that will forever change their lives. FIXING
