When Kevin receives some funding to start a support group for black gay men, he can’t wait to start. Recruiting men to participate however, proves more difficult than he imagined, and as his enthusiasm starts to fade his job gets put in jeopardy. That all changes one night with the sudden arrival of three men, and the prospects improve as the group slowly gains momentum. The attempt at solidarity begins to unravel however, as participants start to clash with their own agendas. Some want the group to retaliate against recent hate crimes, others want to share fears and knowledge about HIV and sexual risk-taking. Another has come only to express his apprehension to the impending wedding to his childhood sweetheart. As these conflicts increase, Kevin’s personal life kicks into high drama and he’ll have to "practice what you preach" if he has any hope of setting it right.
