A refreshingly funny and sexy look at unrequited love, Everett Lewis’ LUSTER introduces us to Jackson, a tall, lanky, blue-haired record-store employee and poet who wakes up one morning muddle-headed from an orgy the night before. He is under the impression that he’s fallen in love with Billy, whom he met at the orgy, but Billy just wants to be friends and is, himself, in love with someone else. In addition to Billy, Jackson also happens to be in lust with his visiting cousin Jed: steamy if somewhat fraught incest fantasies invade his dreams. Then again, our hero could always pursue Derek, the clean-cut boy who obviously likes him, but who might be a tad too vanilla for Jackson’s tastes. The possibilities seem endless!
