| Yes, Virginia, there’s more to the GLBT music scene than lesbian folk singers or boys gyrating to the latest Kylie Minogue remix. QUEERCORE, a segment from Queer Youth TV, examines various components of the queer music underground, featuring interviews and live footage of the individuals who foster it via fanzines, club nights, performances, and recordings. Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls narrates DAEMON RECORDS: A DECADE OF INDEPENDENCE, a documentary examining the first ten years of her Georgia-based independent record label, featuring appearances by acts including Danielle Howle, The Rock*A*Teens, Holly Beth Vincent, and Mrs. Fun. Rounding out this program, we’re proud to show a selection of music videos you won’t be seeing on MTV2 any time soon, including the stop-motion lesbian romance BLUE TUESDAY. QUEER
