DO I LOVE YOU?
Asian Art Museum
Sunday, October 19
9:30pm

Direct from London comes an urban romantic comedy about—what else?—existential angst. Wide-eyed and charismatic writer Marina is having a thirty-something identity crisis that threatens the future of her relationship with girlfriend Romy. To make matters worse, the people she encounters on her quest to unravel life’s riddles—from ex-girlfriends to a journalist making ‘lesbian chic’ work to her advantage—seem to have it all figured out. Driven to desperation, and questioning her sexuality, she regales her straight-laced dad and gay ex-boyfriend with graphic fantasies of possessing a phallus. First-time feature director Lisa Gornick runs the show as producer, writer, lead actress, and editor. Though made on a microscopic budget, DO I LOVE YOU? is confident and crisp, with generous helpings of humor and humanity.

Screening with STRANGE AND CHARMED: merging science and sexuality, quark theory informs the past and future love lives of three women.
