Short Videos for Kids at the Henry Public Library

These three lovely short videos will entertain the whole family with their unconventional characters and challenging messages. APPLES AND ORANGES is part discussion and part animation, in which classroom drawings come to life to demonstrate how kids can fight homophobia. KRISTINA KRUMB & WHOOPSIE DAISY features a new girl on the block struggling with awkwardness—as well as an excess of spunk and personality. Based on the hilarious book by British author Babette Cole, PRINCE CINDERS sends up the classic Cinderella fairy tale in gender-bending style, with a modern fella stuck at home with domestic chores and three brutish stepbrothers.

Recommended for ages six to twelve.

Curated for the SLGFF by Deb Girdwood, Director of the NW Film Forum’s Childish Film Festival
