Dyke
director Sara Millman shoots a bent arrow at the traditional Robin
Hood myth and hits the bullseye. In this modern take, Robin is a
social worker in Oakland, California who sees the oppression of
societys underprivileged and feels constrained by social service
bureaucracy in her efforts to make a difference. When Robin meets
Brooklyn, a sexy, French-speaking, flower-wielding thief, she finds
herself lured by the opportunity to break the rules by which she
has felt bound. Love ignites during the ensuing whirlwind of robbery,
philanthropy, and shifting mythological identities, putting Robin
and Brooklyns livesand loveon the line. A truly
original screenplay is fleshed out by a wonderfully talented cast
in which gorgeous women replace the merry men. This
fascinating tale of adventure ask the question, Whats
life without a little romance, risk, and intrigue?
