SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN ALONG
Cinerama Theatre
Sunday, October 19
2:30pm

Living in Seattle, we know all about the rain, and clearly we know how to sing along, so what better place to celebrate one of the best American musicals ever made? With its newly restored Technicolor print splashed across the Cinerama screen, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN will look as beautiful as it did for audiences 50 years ago—but now the audience is invited to sing—and dance—along! (Lyrics provided of course) From Gene Kelly’s tour-de-force performance in the title song, to Donald O’Connor’s gravity-defying “Make ‘Em Laugh,” to Debbie Reynolds’ sparkling “Good Mornin’,” every musical number is a winner. And we “cain’t” forget Jean Hager’s deliciously cringe-inducing Lina Lamont! Come in costume (perhaps a “Beautiful Girl” fringed with monkey fur or a flapper trying break into the biz) and you could win a prize—emerging from behind the curtain as a star!
