| APRIL’S SHOWER Saturday, October 16, 7:00pm Everything seems perfect in suburbia at this surprise wedding shower: the hostess scrambles with last-minute touches, the guests show up with big presents and even bigger smiles, and the women (and token gay male friend) waste no time getting bitchy with each other as they wait for the guest of honor to show up. But when April, the bride-to-be, finally arrives, she herself that holds the surprise of the day…and her announcement flips the perfect party upside down! The pleasant shower suddenly turns into a virtual downpour of confessions and revelations, flirtations and seductions, and break-ups and hook-ups among the guests (who include a saucy stripper, a sexy-as-hell painter, and a porn star, among other colorful characters). Just when it seems that everything is unravelling beyond repair, everyone in APRIL’S SHOWER regroups and falls back into place—perhaps exactly as they should have been at the start.
