Noah, Alex, Ricky, and Chance are four African-American
friends living the gay life in Los Angeles. Noah is a struggling
screenwriter embarking on a love affair with a newly out and much
more successful screenwriter. HIV/AIDS counselor Alex always keeps
it real with his clients but struggles to do the same with his hot
doctor boyfriend. Ricky, the playboy of the group, owns a hip clothing
store on Melrose, while college professor Chance has recently married,
and has adopted his partner’s three-year-old daughter after
a whirlwind courtship. Throw in an amorous teaching assistant, a
seductive store clerk, and a flamboyantly fabulous fashion designer,
and you’ve got a recipe for delicious drama, side-splitting
comedy, and steamy, shocking sexuality. Full of humor, pathos and
insight, NOAH’S ARC, directed by Patrick-Ian Polk (PUNKS),
gives today’s black gay community an intelligent and long-awaited
voice in a sea of mainstream gay and lesbian programming.
