Lending a voice to transpeople whose stories are
seldom heard, these shorts give us a glimpse of the diversity in
the trans community. SOME REASONS FOR LIVING follows the lives of
two Latina transgender women in the San Francisco Bay area, one
a community activist and the other a singer, as they recount their
experiences with relationships, work, children, and love. Don’t
let the light-heartedness and animation fool you, DRIVE THRU is
an accurate run-down of medical services and their costs for FTM
guys, and gives “have it your way” new meaning. There’s
a lot of talk about the differences and similarities between butch
lesbians and female-to-male transgender guys; MIND IF I CALL YOU
SIR? is an opportunity to listen in on this debate held by people
of color. MATT KAILEY: A CONVERSATION shares the unique experience
of a feminine straight woman’s journey to become a man.DRIVE
