Oh, if you only lived in England, you too could snuggle up on the sofa once a week to watch the hottest gay series to hit the telly! Queer as Folk, a bold and boundary-pushing dramatic series, have audiences of all kinds in the UK glued to their sets. The show is a frank and engaging chronicle of the lives of three young gay men living in Manchester: Stuart, the handsome roguish disco stud; Vince, the sweet, shy supermarket manager; and Nathan, a 15-year-old who explodes out of the closet into the club world of Canal Street. Expect all the juicy melodrama that you recognize from your own life, with extra helpings of glamour and grit. The Advocate reports: "Homo kisses. Rimming. Underage sex. Cocaine. Ecstasy. On TV? In America? Not a chance." In short, this ain't Will and Grace, folks.
Purchase tickets individually at the regular price or see the whole series for only $15.
All weekday screenings $5.
Co-sponsored by Gay City and Northwest AIDS Foundation
Join us for a reception at ARO.space with director Charles McDougall following the screening of episodes 1 & 2.
