ASL INTERPRETING PRIOR TO SCREENING
Why Not Me? (Pourquoi Pas Moi?) is a charming romantic comedy about three 20-something dykes and a disco bunny who decide it's finally time to tell their parents the truth about their sexuality. Eve, Ariane, Camille, and Nicolas share a commitment to three things: "Love-space," the publishing house they have launched together, a dependence on Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" as an antidote to depression, and a reluctance to come out to their parents. Josepha, Camille's mom, is the only one who knows. When she decides to organize a weekend at her chateau to facilitate a little truth-telling, nothing goes as planned. Secrets revealed, passions inflamed, and even the parents find themselves experiencing love in surprising new ways in this delicious comedy from dynamic new dyke director Stephane Giusti.
